The words were selected from this list of 925 evocative nouns used in cognitive experiments:

I picked a subset of 666 words. I think I may have tweaked some of the parameters for selection, maybe favoring more concrete words.... but the truth is, I can't remember if I did that or not. It may just be a random subset of 666 words from those 925.
Also, this funny thing happened when I inserted the words into the database:
Should we take this to mean that there's a limit of 442890 (666*665) unique users at the moment? Or maybe I'm reading too much into things... :-)
Edit: Now that I think about it it would probably be half of that, since you probably don't want two users whose names are simply swapped versions of the other's (e.g. pancake minnow vs. minnow pancake). So only 221445. Surely such a brilliant game will reach that in no time.
Maybe if players are consistently stalling out the clock during a game, it could be implemented that they would have their time reduced for a few rounds, until they are no longer stalling the game?
