I like the idea of the table rake coming out of the side pot first. Make the side pot 3 coins each - the same as turning down 3 hands in a row. Don't change the rules for the rake (when it starts, etc). I think that after 6 reasonably sized hands it's no big deal for someone to leave. We don't need to play all the way to the conclusion.
I completely understand the desire for an 'opponent view'. I wanted the same thing at the start. I started just forcing myself to consider the rows at the start of each turn and after a few days it became very easy to see the board either as columns or rows. It would be nice for newcomers but with a bit of practice it's not a big issue.
I just played several games, I assume it was with you as I got the match just around when you posted.
Very interesting first experience. Very much a brain crunching game! I think I hit the timeout almost every turn, sorry about that .
I'm going to be continuing to play $0.01 games for now to try and continue to learn the game .
I've been sitting in a $0.01 search for 5 (Edit: 10) minutes.
I'm starting to think maybe people don't play games at this low money level?
What's a decent value to actually get a game going? I'd just like to play around with the 2 dollars I dropped in the game, get used to how it works. I'm not looking to lose a bunch of money quickly just to play a game.
