On that note, I think that the unlisted tutorial video you have on Youtube is a far better introduction to the game than any of the articles that have been published, which explained some things really badly. If you're OK with people posting videos, then why not make that one public?
These scoreboards are very nice to have. But the profit ratio scoreboard is pretty meaningless because it's a function of how much money you transferred into your account, rather than the amount of money you've actually bet. A scoreboard that actually measures the (weighted) fraction of the time that you win is what would be most interesting and maximum boast value. I think that per round (a single pot) and per game (until someone leaves) would give the same result. I imagine that you would have to explicitly track the total bet amount per player though.
(Note: I didn't bother reading most of this thread as I couldn't understand much of it)
As someone with almost no poker experience (I didn't like poker because of the randomness; hopefully this eats the world), I was hoping that people wouldn't just borrow poker terminology to this game which becomes even harder to understand due to the various differences between the two. It would be nice if someone put up a thread for CM terminology once it's decided (by the masses).
On the topic of rakes, I would describe my first reaction to realising the rake was 10% as "alarm". Even worse when I saw it add up to 70 coins in one game. A max of 4 coins per round is far more reasonable, though the 10% still sounds high, especially if poker players are used to much smaller percentages, so suggest adjust that rather than the cap.
If a new name appears then it has the highest id number. I'm guessing that you said 'relative' because some account were deleted? Anyway, definitely no value to that. Knowing who your opponent is could be quite significant though.
I can also calculate exactly the amount of money deposited in your account :)
Ah, interesting. Right now you can work out the name of your opponent by watching the scoreboard, and even the account id of new players as they register, but once there are more than 100 users that will no longer work reliably.
Does the leaderboard list people who have never played a game? If so, it looks like I was one of the only people with an account who had never actually played a game of CM: I'd never seen an open game on the server until today.
