Emails eaten by Gmail spam filter

I've heard from someone that they found the email containing their alias in gmail's spam bin, and I just noticed a post in the subreddit saying the same. Are there really two emails sent? Looking at the server source, it looks like initial deposit information, account key, and alias are all sent in a single email. In which case losing that email would be severe. If you didn't get an email, please check your spam folder and mark it not spam.

Re: Emails eaten by Gmail spam filter

Stripe sends the other email, not me.  Most people get that one.

jason@cordialminuet.com seems to be on some kind of list at both gmail and yahoo.  I've implemented all the correct message-signing stuff, and email from that address gets a 10/10 on the mail testing websites, but still it goes in the spam folder.

Re: Emails eaten by Gmail spam filter

Just got the email about this. Personally, none of the CM emails have ever gone to spam for me. Neither the fastmail, nor the stripe.

Try Linux, get free. #!++ (CrunchbangPlusPlus) is a stable distribution based on Debian 8. Keep it fast, keep it pretty.

Re: Emails eaten by Gmail spam filter

Emails from my fastmail account have not been caught by the filters, nor have Stripe emails.  But emails generated by the server (jason@cordialminuet.com) have.

What about your initial deposit email that told your your leaderboard name?

Re: Emails eaten by Gmail spam filter

Note! I just checked my Gmail spam folder and discovered the email you sent out to all The Castle Doctrine purchasers from jason@thecastledoctrine.net was also in the spam bin! Man it REALLY sucks that you missed out on many thousands of potential players because of that.

(Ironically didn't do that earlier as didn't have any reason to expect an email from the server)

EDIT: I hope you will try sending out that email again from a different account. You could try to sell on the similarities between CM and TCD, as jere mentioned in another thread: the 'mind reading' aspect.

Yeah, maybe I will try to chop up that list and send it out manually somehow.  It's a bit of a pain, though...
