If you had a 10 way tournament and everyone ties, it seems obvious to me that you should share the prize pool evenly. What is wrong with this? In order to be fair the prize pool should always be distributed amongst the players with the house taking a flat 10%.

Yeah, there will likely be more regular tournaments after launch. Maybe some high roller ones too.
