Bachelor's thesis: Strategies in the game Cordial Minuet

Maybe you knew already... in any case:
https://mollikka.github.io/

From the description I would guess that the thesis does not take into account the betting part of the game.

It would nice to know the author name in CM smile

Has @mollikka interacted with @cantodelirium? That could give it away.

I'm jealous, he beat me to it. I think it would be a nice game for serious academic research (poker is overused).

Strange that he never sent this to me.  Maybe it wasn't written in English?

What do you think of his statement about the randomized boards introducing luck into the game?

It has been discussed extensively here:

Though no completely satisfying solution has been devised.

Re: Bachelor's thesis: Strategies in the game Cordial Minuet

Oh! Ok, I didn't see that! I guess it's from before I joined up.

There's some interesting suggestions in there. I guess the only real way to get rid of the board luck element entirely is to do it like all the other ways the game does it -- a simultaneous hidden decision. Then again, that's inelegant and would needlessly complicate the game.

Anyway, I like the random boards. What may seem like a bad board can sometimes be a winning one!

(Edit: Commented before reading the final page, and I see you already talked about this too.)
